Your challenge is to find a photo or video from a leading motoring journalist or online influencer/vlogger that isn't shot from a VIP hospitality unit or pit visit.

The only one I've seen is from Henry Catchpole - https://www.instagram.com/p/C8Qdu7ECLd-/

Bonus Points if it was taken before Saturday lunchtime, double points if before Friday!.

Impossible.

The usual suspects are podcasting all over the place saying how lucky they are etc etc blah blah.

The fact that at least one of them knew fk all about LM and was just there as a hanger-on says it all.

Bit unfair to lump Journalists in with this. It is after all, their job to cover the race for which they are rightfully granted privileged access to do.

If they are covering the racing they shouldn't be ligging in the hospitality biggrin

If they are covering the event they should be outside of the posh bits 'enjoying' the race as their readers would.

Haha. Reminds me of being a journalist at Le Mans many years ago when I showed Paul Newman's European lawyers around the circuit (sorry about the name drop). We went to Mulsanne, Indianapolis, Arnage and then opposite the pits, having a plastic glass of wine at each and then shouting at Paul across the track - to his intense embarrassment (not me of course). But that was during practice and all a long long time ago. Still managed to write a report or commentate or whatever I was meant to be doing. But different times...

Bit difficult to conduct interviews with drivers and team personnel out trackside in the public areas though. biggrin

Luckily the Media Centre is like a tropical spa with everything on tap....

Looking at your username I’m guessing you’re Bob Constanduros?

If so, great to see you on here. I’m guessing the track walk would have been in 1979?

AdamC was in the pistonheads campsite.

I was going to say hello, but remember that I am a normal person and he was enjoying a beer with his friends, being left alone to enjoy the experience seemed a lot more respectful

I thought I saw him knocking about. I hope he was only on holiday, and not about to release a video about it. We need less events like the ones at Prairie, not more.

Adam C was in Arnage on Friday afternoon. I had no idea who he was but plenty did.
