It scares me just how many people there are in this country who are WILLING to go on NATIONAL TV and humiliate themselves!

Personally, I think anyone who applies for X-Idol shot be shot!

It is funny though These people who get told they can sing but blatantly can't!

I know I can't sing, thats why I dont sing!

Why do we find other peoples humiliation so entertaining, does this conceal a hidden sadism going on within

To contradict what I've thought in the past, it is actually very funny watching people crucify themselves, voluntarily.

Simon Cowell goes up in my estimation each time I see the show.

Crazy huh ?????

oh yes!

Classic TV. It capped it with the claps of thunder as she scowled and scurried away in disgust.

What I find sad, apart from the fact I have to watch it with swmbo, is these people who clearly cannot sing, who are devoid of talent, are encouraged by family freinds etc to belive they can sing! Then when faced with experts who tell them the truth, they deny these facts. There should be phyciatrists to help these people who suffer theses dilusions there at the auditions. Tonights special was the guy who had quit his job seven months ago because he dreamt he was going to win, ffs he came in looking like a lepracaunh with a hump back and couldn't sing a note, has he no one to tell him the truth?

The ones that frighten me are the clearly deluded, really talentless ones, who perhaps did a half passable Whitney Houston on the karaoke when they were 13. The entire family / village / clan have spent the intervening 5 years telling the induhvidual concerned that they are the furure of popular entertainment. The local paper tracks the progress of this "local celebrity" all the way to the first X-Factor audition, where the experts reveal the awfull truth. The persons entire reason for living whipped away, everything that person has ever been told positively by friends and family taken away by the facts.

How long before one of these poor sods is found hanging from a door frame as a result of parents unrealistic expectations?
