Saturday prices on the likes of Travelodge seem to treble on a Saturday. Trying to find something, one adult, under £100 preferably with some form of parking, and walking or taxi distance to Queens Hall.
Can get a room in a dorm with 6 females cheap enough but they'll likely complain of an old bloke snoring.
Any suggestions, been through the usual Google etc.

Have you tried the B&B's down Mayfield Gardens? Good selection there smile

Within walking distance of QH.

Just out of the city but an easy 20 ish minute bus ride into the Queens hall. The bus route has a night bus too.
Plenty of parking too.

The Mellvile inn. £110.

Stayed few streets behind there two years ago but weekday. Saturday in Edinburgh just gets booked up quickly and the prices are multiple times the weekday price. Similarly I stopped at the Travelodge for about £70, this year on a Saturday over £200.

Thanks I'll look that one up. Hadn't intended stopping so far out of town but that's ideally located for me heading north from Tyneside. Will look out the bus situation. Recall car parking in the streets south of the QH is pretty full.

Anything within 1/2 -1 mile is residents permit holders only or crazy priced.
The Queens hall is also on the last block before entering the LEZ as you drive north.

You don't say when you are going, but I just stuck a random Saturday into the 'spoons website thingy.

A Saturday hotel in Edinburgh.....

This rather falls into much the same category as those seeking accommodation in Oban, Inverness etc.

Be prepared to pay more.

The OP gives his date in the thread title.

The White Lady is the wrong side of Corstorphine(Murryfield) for getting to the Queens Hall.
