Hi Folks,

I've seen this problem answered before but I can't find it?...

I've only owned my Type 23 for a short tme and yesterday was the first time I've needed to use my screen vents to de-mist the windscreen. The trouble is, as soon as I put the blower on lots of dead flies and bits shot all over the dash etc. Now I've seen this problem answered but I can't find it. I remember it said to use material like "tighs" over the vents or air intake??

Problem is I can't gent the vents out of the dashboard and When I try take the dash fascia off the vent covers still stick in the wells.

Can anyone give me any advice please as the manual doesn't really tell you how to remove the vent covers.

And...

Is it the vent covers on the dash OR the air intake I need to cover?

Or I am competely off track??

Cheers Folks.

Regards,

Mac

I seem to remember that people put a pair of tights (not fishnet) over the air intake for the fan.

remove front grille (cheesegrater one in between headlights)and you will swee to rectangular air intake vents...that are open to the world - these are hat you need to cover up with something.

You can buy purpose made filters for them on ebay.......

yes - just stick something over them to filter it out..or buy ready made filters (then you have to remove the wire thats there first)

Yes it looks as though the previous owner has already tried to put mesh over them but the mesh is too course and not really doing anything to stop the flies entering the intakes...Thanks for the advice.

And Gooby...

Have you seen the pics!!...lol
