It can be done in an F-Type convertible

Just arrived home after 5 weeks of driving to, around, and back from, Italy. In our F-Type convertible.
4,500 miles (in 4 weeks as had one week in Villa), 29.4 av mpg and very very careful packing (hint don’t pack in cases or even squashy bags, use plastic bags to maximise space).
And it an exquisite experience, the Lakes, Tuscany, Amalfi were sincerely breathtaking and driving the car almost everyday was easy and comfortable (most miles in a day was 705).
The car never missed a beat, had not one single problem (2019 with now 56,000 miles), and I want to go and do it all again.

29mpg isn’t to bad at all.
The autobahns are great, but slow when they’re busy. 200 miles. Average 76 mph. 32 mpg on one of my journeys out of a V8. 29mpg isn’t to bad at all.
But have some fun and they’re in the low teens.

I have a 2008 XKR 4.2 coupe. No major issues and a great mile muncher, but I really prefer convertibles so we took the 996 cab to BC (from WA state). The Ice Fields Parkway is jaw dropping.
I have removed the rear seat squabs and backs so it offers two small carpeted holes under the wind blocker. However, point of post was to note that it was really useful to have the space for coats, camera, blankie, water bottles spare fleeces etc.
Are there cubby holes and spaces to jam stuff down the sides of the seats, behinds the seats etc.?
