Help on Elise Door

I am looking to buy an S2 Elise. When I went to view it today, I noticed that where the drivers door hinge is attached to the body there is a crack in the body above the hinge and the door has up and down movement to it.

The guy who is selling it said he is going to get it fixed. Is this a major problem? What should I be looking for when it is fixed?
