I know most of us ask ourselves the question on a daily basis, but if you could have one superhero power (with a free 'no purchase necessary' extra bonus minor secondary power, which didnt affect your statutory rights) what would you choose? :silly:

Id go for invisibility. Its the most brutal, with the ability to make objects of my choosing invisible like turnstiles, parking metres, traffic wardens, other people, doors, bollards etc.

And the ability to make someone spontaneously cack their skivvies. Might come in handy when you dont joining a long queue, and you want everyone in front of you to suddenly bolt for the toilet. Think of the bets you could win.

I'll have the power of the force thanks. I'd never pay for anything and have the ability to make womens clothes fall off without even touching them!

I have that ability by proxy.

It is a power subcontracted to a minion known as Wife.

She also has superhuman powers to deploy her husband on missions such as emptying the bin, mowing the lawns, and laying laminated flooring.

His Life Force is a mysterious substance known as Shiraz, without which his powers melt away and disappear, like breath into the wind.

The supply of the Life Force is ruthlessly monitored by the Wife.

The one purpose of her husband's existance is to seek a plentiful supply of the Life Force, and he uses a succession of powerful vehicles in which he roams the land in search of the elusive elixir.

Cheers

Pat

I think it was Asimov who pointed out that being able to avoid interacting with matter would be more useful than being able to avoid interacting with light. It's easy to catch an invisible man, for example by watching for an unexplained movement and then throwing a big net over the area. But an "impalpable" man, while you could see him, you couldn't do anything to him.

Similarly, an invisible traffic warden sounds like an absolute menace. But a traffic warden who finds that his pen and pad fall through his fingers is much more like it.

you need 'undetectibility', not invivisibility. cos it would encompass inaudibility and, er, untouchability. All would need to be controllable to varying degrees independently of course! If you were invisible i think you'd just make people uneasy all the time cos you'd be heard, or 'presence felt' etc!

I think id have to have flight...or maybe teleportation...or remote knicker elastic control - of less general use but would avert boredom at train stations and airports

Teleportation, often wondered if you teleported yourself up in the sky for some freefall fun then teleported yourself back onto the ground so you didnt die would you still have the energy from the fall anyway and just sort of crumple onto the floor? Also you'd have to be careful not to teleport into space when drunk and explode yourself, hmm maybe not such a good superpower after all really :-? how about ability to become sober instantly?
