My other half seriously splashed out at Xmas and booked us both tickets for this - we are combining with a bit of a holiday. Anyway, we have hospitality in the 'Garden Village' which includes a grandstand seat for Saturday/Sunday. Neither of us have ever been and the info on the official website is pretty scant...

It suggests it was a two day ticket but on the info it suggests it also covers Friday practice - does anyone know if that's the case or is Friday free entry anyway? Our tickets don't seem to specify a seat number etc other than grandstand G/H - is it a free for all or are seats allocated?

Lastly, are there any live English commentary streaming services that I could listen along to during the GP?

As you can see I have no idea what to expect, other than the knowledge that it is a 'dry' circuit!!

We have done Garden Village many times.
The hospitatlity is not open on the Friday but the grandstand next to it is. You just sit where you want in the stand the same all weekend.
The hospitality serves proper alcohol not 0.0%
Any other info please ask.

Thanks for the info, really useful and will be v happy if there is a bit of booze available in the hospitality - I thought it was an entirely dry circuit! Our tickets have no dates on then tho my other half was convinced it was for the sat/sun only - would it be a standard arrangement to include the Friday in this package too? Cheers!

Everytime we have been there it includes Friday. Worth double checking on the confirmation email.

There is no hospitality on Friday which is why there may be no dates etc.

There’s a Spanish law against the sale of alcohol in sporting venues, presumably arising from past football violence, but there’s an exemption for hospitality areas, something to do with people being served at tables with food.

Your best bet for commentary is the F1 Live Timing App, at £2 a month. They take the UK Radio 5 Live commentary.
