UK centric question wink. Anybody driving to Folkestone over the M20. Is it open? Google maps says is closed between J9 and 10 (operation Brock?) but the national highways website says it’s open. I’m traveling very early Tuesday to catch the train. Doesn’t seem like too much of an inconvenience but wondering about the inconsistency and who to believe. TIA

Was fully open when I drove down today at 5pm ish, there was a sign up about one of junctions being closed overnight which I encountered last year but the diversion was relatively simple and quick then.

Thanks guys. Seems like it’s just some roadworks and not the lorries thing. I should be passing. The stretch of road tomo (Tuesday) around 5am, so will report back here with what I observe.

No, operation Brock

Starts at Junction 8 where the reduce it to 50 and all HGVs need to sit left

They also block access to the M20 coastbound from Junction 8

They removed it last week, though god only knows why it had even been implemented, there wasnt that much traffic

Brock was cleared last week. There are no 50mph zones any more.

So we now have a 50mph stretch from Junction 6 all the way to the M26, with average speed cameras

Doesnt help things when all of the overhead gantry signs were showing the limit as 60MPH....

Of course there was nothing happening for these reductions to be in place, no lane closures (London bound) and no works actually taking place

Coastbound the inside lane was coned off from what I could see

  • Updated, even though this now has nothing to do with LM
