Hi everyone

I'm hoping you can clear something up for me.

I'm hoping to buy another Cayman 987.1 (S or non-S).

However I have a 8 month old who needs to travel in a rear facing car seat.

Ideally I'd get the Isofix and airbag deactivation switch fitted but it's no longer stocked by Porsche and I can't find it for sale anywhere. I thought that was the end of it but it seems that there is an automatic airbag off based on the weight.

Can anyone confirm and if this is year specific? I also wasn't sure if this was a US only thing like it is on some other cars.

Thanks in advance!

I had this same issue buying my Spyder.
You can’t get the isofix/airbag kit anymore but you can get all the parts in it separately so long as you’re prepared to have a non-black dash end panel for the switch itself.
The team at Cameron Sports Cars did mine.

I've got a black end panel with a switch and loom. I've been meaning to put it up on ebay.

The car that came out of also had isofix mounts on the seat, I hadn't seen that before.

The isofix bar is part of the proper kit, but you don’t necessarily need it so long as you have the switch wired in properly. The centre console airbag off light is also part of the kit. Gives a bit of reassurance that it’s working(or not as the case may be)

Ah didn't realise that.
Just On eBay?

Could you let us know what we actually need? Is it just the isofix bar and the switch?
