The Price is set at 123450 Euros ? Hmm, methinks someone has just tapped out a number on a keyboard to see who'll go for it !

I just put these figures in the Yahoo currency converter and the answers come out as,
Euro C6 £83,600
USA C6 £36,000 (plus duty, shipping, VAT etc)
Looks like a field day for the grey market importers!

Goodness me! Stap my vitals! The same price as a Viper!

You greedy grabbing profiteering *ng leeches. GM, you DESERVE to fail in Europe, you DESERVE to lose every goddam buyer who has ever bought an American car from your flea-infested armpit, you dirty stinking thieving lumps of squalor. You berks. You idiots. You could have cleaned up in the European sports car market, established not only credibility but legendary value just as Jaguar did with the original E-Type and charged for it once you'd become established but NO...you blew it, you festering great kn*b-suckers. Useless turds.

FAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK sack!!

Shot them selves in the foot again - one thing they say in all the write ups is better performance than stuff costing much more - so they price it to nearly match the stuff costing much more - even though its still got £30k cabin trim mmmmm

Come on Lusifer get off the fence, tell us what you really think

I saw 3 C6 Z06's at Mosport last week and they do look very nice but are ultra quiet, apparently they are much louder when they are on it as they have a valve in the exhaust......

But on this website:

www.corvette-europe.com/index.aspx?ChapterID=2669&FilterID=1006

... it says the Z06 will be £59,000
(which is €87,000 or $106,000).

OK, of course still more than the US price (rememver we have VAT at 17.5%) certainly cheaper than the €150K stated here...

Unless of course GM's left hand doesn't know what it's right hand is doing [and there is indeed a subtle insinuation of an insult there too ]

That's a new one on me! Sounds exactly right though.

Agree 100% with your comments on GM in Europe. Who'd have guessed they launched the Monaro, dropped the price and then discontinued it? Maybe they think VX 220 didn't sell as well as the Elise because it wasn't expensive enough? The last major manufacturer attempts at launching new sports cars at Z06 prices were, I think, a Euro Viper and the BMW Z8 - combined sales very few. I'd love to see the Vette succeed but in a way I'm just as pleased they're going to remain a rare sight on the roads.

Oops! I forgot the Cadillac XLR. Easy slip. Never seen one over here....

Think the VX220 suffered with the Vauxhall badge, and to really mess up the marketing, using Grif Rhys-Jones in his y-fronts as an advertising front man... (For anyone who didn't see/doesn't remember - they did really do this...)
