Looks like that must be the case. I'd not be happy with a new car having the windows refitted. I'd certainly wait until they had practiced and perfected this before turning up !

Recall has been issued to affected UK owners in the last few weeks. The problem is not the glue per se, but the glass manufacturing process. Residue left after a salt bath due to inadequate cleaning may have resulted in improper bonding. The windscreens were manufactured by Pilkington San Salvo.
