Shortlist for kitchen - C&C / suggestions / editing tweaks?
Discussion
Narrowed our choices down to what we want to put up on the new walls...wanted to pick the collective wisdom on here as to what's got the most impact / what the best photos are, please?
Figure we can do 5 of these 10, plus maybe we swap one out in the lounge.
If there's any that you think need different framing / post-processing, please shout - I'm still learning some of the finer points of Lr.
Thanks all,
Martin.
(was going to post as thumbs but they post square for some reason)

(couldn't talk Mrs H into a car photo - this is as good as I'm going to get)

(also got a less-cluttered one like this from a few steps forward and right)

I'd suggest some regular changes. Wall-mounted images become invisible pretty soon. In the winter, a view of a sandy beach, blue sea and, personal opinion here, topless sunbathers. When/if summer comes, then a snowy mountain, skiing holiday, or sitting around an open fire. If sounds pretty predictable, but unless you think it's great art, predictable ain't bad.
Also, from personal experiences here, something that doesn't show smoke damage.

Thanks guys.
SC - good spot, will do.
Dobbler - appreciate it. Mrs H wants 1, 2, 5, 6 and 8 as it happens...she been talking to you?!?
Derek - are you suggesting I'm in the habit of burning the dinner?!?
Fair shout though...maybe a matt acrylic is the way to go - wipe-clean. My credit card might have to take a run-up at printing more than 5 off...either that or find somewhere a lot cheaper than Whitewall.
PS - less cluttered Moraine Lake:

There is a mix of landscape and portrait there, do you need a certain number of each etc?
I agree with the theory of changing up the images, but don't follow it myself, especially as I have now lost access to free giclee printing.
All landscape would be best, but we've enough 'height' that we can mix-and-match, so can do 4:1 or 3:2 if needed.I agree with the theory of changing up the images, but don't follow it myself, especially as I have now lost access to free giclee printing.
Bigger headache is a couple are properly panoramic and a couple of others aren't quite 3:2, so I might need to reframe slightly.
