Upgrade/Improvement Ideas from SCH3
Discussion
Having spent two weeks on my holidays laying by the pool, with my mind wandering onto (aswell as kylie!) all things 'S'.
Prior to holiday I was at SCH3 and thoroughly enjoyed it  I came away with a number of upgrade/improvement ideas for my V8S as follows:
(1) Polished Coil - (possibly V8Smith).
(2) Stainless Steel Bonnet Stay :smokin:- I saw a very nice stainless steel replacement for the OE red painted bonnet stay.
(3) Air intake tubing (black) :scratchchin:- I noticed on a number of Cars that the air intake tubing was black plastic/rubber - mine is currently a faded fabric type material.
(4) Wing Mirror Rubbers :)- There seemed to be a few cars with the black wing mirror rubbers. Which I think looked better than without.
(5) Stainless Steel Swirl Pot :yum:- I seem to recall somebody had a stainless steel swirl pot that looked good and is an improvement on the OE one.
I would be grateful if anybody could advise where to purchase any of the above and how much I should budget.
Cheers
Larry

Hi Larry heres a few answers for you:
My polished coil, is not polished, its er......just new (I dont do polishing the engine thats why I have S/S braiding, doesnt need cleaning) Standard Coil IIRC bought from any motor factors although I can find the make if you want.
My S/S bonnet stay was specially made by Adrian at 'Just TVR' I think thats the name in Coventry, was done via a contact at TVR power?? All you need to do is find a local metal workers, take your stay in and have them copy it, thats what I did?
Wing mirror rubbers, try Bridgdav???
I like the S/S swirl pot too, IIRC its made and supplied by the gamekeeper, send him a mail
Hope that helps for most of the things you are after? Dont recall seeing you there Larry, did we talk?? So much happened on the day cant remember it all, which is why I cant wait for the DVD to be finished.

Larry re the bonnet stay have a gander at MrSheens as its a rose jointed S/S
Re the intake,as i wasn't at SCH3
you never saw mine so here's a piccy
re the coil, make sure you get Bosch coil you can get them in a polished finish.Do not use any other unless desperate.Mark Adams rates the bosch one very highly,so if its good enough for MA its good enough for me
Costs £40-50 for the coil, £40 for the silicone intake

Yippee...my first picture on PH.
Although I have noticed that I need another upgrade - my driving lamps need to be replaced too!!
Mike - are you sure your coil is not polished
...it looked very shiney IIRC? Yes we did speak at South Mimms and of course I was a winner in the raffle. Must be my waife like profile.......easily missed!!
I think it may have been Mr Sheens that I noticed as it was the rose jointed/hinge bit that caught my eye
first. Does anybody have any pictures?
Pies - cheers for the Bosch tip
. I will have to find where to get one locally - do you have any reference numbers etc? Personally I prefer the black rubber/plastic as seen at SCH3
Dave - YWHM Thanks.
Mr Sheen - will you be emailing photo's around at some point? Or will it be possible to download them from the DVD?
Cheers
