Hello all,

Looking to book a holiday at one of the Ikos resorts.
Any recommendations for which travel agent to use? Have used Best@Travel and Kenwood for holidays elsewhere. Just wondering if there’s a particular go to agent for Ikos?

Thank you.

Why wouldn’t you book direct?

Direct the dates I want aren’t available, where as some agents I’ve spoken to have them + believe it or not, it’s quite often cheaper to book via an agent (good example being our annual Dubai trip to Dar Al Masyaf).

Thanks for the input gents 👍🏼

Thank you, that would be great. In the mean time I’m trying the guys above + the usual suspects (Kenwood & Best@Travel).

i have always booked direct with IKOS. Usually 10% early book discount + 10% returning guest.

Have any of you stayed at both Ikos Olivia and Sani Beach? If so, how did you compare (other than the different board types)?

I found BA holidays to be competitive when I booked although prices varied significantly according to dates and travel provider used.

Yep.

Sani you're located adjacent to the other Sani properties, so you can at least wander and stretch yourselves out a bit.

Olivia you're more likely to stay in resort unless you fancy taking the Tesla for the day etc.

Similar levels of service / standards across both properties.

What's the make-up of the people going? old/young/kids/no kids etc.

Olivia is ideal for toddlers, very flat and easy to push 'em about in the prams etc.

Sani Beach has the 'most going on' of all the Sani's but it's not exactly a theme park biggrin

Feel free to email me if you've got any specific questions you don't want to publicly post etc. Happy to help where I can.

Thanks Gilmore - our three kids are all between 6 & 9.
Leaning towards Sani over Ikos as have heard good things from a friend who stayed at SB.

Now deciding between a one bed or two bed suite - I know three kids can be accommodated in the suite’s living room, but worried things will get too cramped. Price difference for the week is £2k+ though frown

Pretty sure thats where my OH has tended to do the bookings when we've gone. Been to Ikos Halkidiki and Corfu. Both really good but were cheaper a few years ago, a bit too rich for us now. Made more sense when our daughter was smaller as well.

If you can, go for the 2 bed.

One bed suite is fine for 2 adults + 1, maybe 2 kids depending on age.

You know your kids better than me BUT, if you're going to head back to the rooms at a reasonable hour and maybe have a drink etc on the balcony then you'll be doing it in silence in a one bed or you'll wake 'em up.

Two bed you might get the chance of a decent conversation too as the sleeping area is in between the bedrooms from memory.

If you're just going to sleep in there, then one bed will be fine but yes, I'd say would also be a little cramped.

Thread revival...

We're looking at Sani Beach or Ikos Olivia for August this year.
A week/10 days with a 4 year old.

Struggling to pick one, both look good, similarly priced, what's the reasons to choose one over the other?

We value kids club/childrens entertainment and comfortable dining, not going to try fine dining with a 4 year old.
Gym and spa facilities will be used daily.
Evenings will most likely consist of being fed and in the room by 8pm, daughter asleep, mum and dad having a glass of wine in peace.

I have only been to Sani Beach, but the main difference people who have done both raise is the cost. Booze and food at Sani is not cheap. The dine around on HB is good, but if you go a la carte for an evening you get a small allowance to your bill which doesn't add up to much (not even a starter generally). House wine starts around EUR 50 a bottle I think (the local rose is a good match for Whispering Angel at about EUR 30 a bottle cheaper). Sani Beach did introduce a daily special drink last year, and i think it was EUR 5 for a glass of wine, bubbly or a bottle of beer. The wines were fine, the beer wasn't IMO.

I'm a bit gutted we aren't going this year, as have been the previous two. It's a perfect resort for us, as loads of choice of restaurants (must be close to 30), good activities for us and our teens, and great entertainment in the evening if you want it (we saw Tom Jones play there last year, and just missed UB40 the year before..obviously not everyone's cup of tea!).

Ikos for me.

Olivia is flat which is ideal for a 4 year old and all the food and drink is included. Plenty of options in terms of children activities too.

I’d probably do 7 days max!

If they’re similar prices now then Ikos is the better value. Even if you go fairly light on F&B you’d still rack up a decent sized bill at Sani!

Thanks for that, read the replies to the missus - she's going to do more research.

I am leaning towards Ikos this year and if we enjoy it, Sani the following year.

This thread inspired me to book a deluxe suite fortnight in Estepona in October.

Used the site to book. Really couldn’t be easier.
