Even though I've not used it for about 8 months it's a difficult decision .... Would be the first time I've not had a console in front of the TV since 1977 ....

Sell ... Keep .... frown ?

I very rarely sell my consoles. That's why I have a large collection of old consoles, computers and games gathering dust.
In your case I would probably sell it while it's still worth decent money, you can always pick up another one in the future if you get the itch to play again.

I was the same had a massive collection of games and consoles from early pong machines, Vectrex, Coleco etc etc

Sold it all about 10 years ago.

I think I will sell not bothered about the money but it’s just gathering dust and taking up space.

Well here I am and all I seem to do with the Xbox is turn it on so it can download updates then turn it off again for a month or so ....

So difficult as it is I've decided to sell it and put the cash toward my new retro handheld fetish ...

Unless someone has a reason to keep it ?

If my son didn't play on it every now and then, I'd have sold mine. I rarely play on it now.

I'm voting to sell it and get a handheld console or put the money towards something else.

First time ever I'm thinking of flogging my Series X and PS5.

Series X - I only play CoD and I haven't even played that for over a month.

PS5 - gotta be 6 months since I last used it, never did really get on with it.

I can't be doing with tyre kickers though, might gift mine to one of my younger relatives.

I'm hammering the Switch 2 at the moment, so many good games to catch up on, Zelda and various Mario's plus all the retro stuff too.

If you're really not using it that much it's probably not a bad call to sell for now, especially if means you're spending on gamepass as well.
I just picked up a second hand one last week, mainly as I've had to miss a few new releases over the last couple years and there's a couple things coming out soon I fancy giving a bash.

But as a more casual gamer there doesn't really seem to be as many "must have" games coming out as there used to be, probably why I've been fine plodding on with the last gen console for the past 5 years!

Got rid of my X-Box a few years ago and didn't bother replacing it until last weekend when I picked up a PS4 on FB. I didn't miss having a console but the PS was too cheap to turn down.

Cheers guys I have Gamepass on the pc but not had ultimate for at least 18 months.

Using my Steamdeck all the time handheld and docked and I can see myself going down the same route again come upgrade time.

I retired in Feb so it’s not like I don’t have the time for the Xbox I just have no interest in it frown

I would think the PS4 will be more than satisfactory, this current generation of consoles has been a let down IMO and they are now talking about the next generation coming out in the next couple of years

Despite just picking one up I'd probably agree with that, wouldn't have paid the new price on one anyway.
If it's just wanting to have "a" games console, either PS4 or Xbox one can be picked up proper cheap.

I lost my Xbox Series S to my eldest son when his failed.

Not missed it too much, but would like the odd dab at things like World of Warships and War Thunder every now and again.

Saw a couple of the diskless models in Cash Converters or similar the other day for £90 or so and am tempted to have one under the telly again.

Also considering a repurposed office PC from a local electronics shop. Might be fun to have a play at upgrading it if necessary and will play stuff like the above without too many problems I would expect.

Was my thought, £100 with 6 decent games and 2 rubbish. I've only switched it on to do all the updates but I know it'll kill a couple of hours on a quiet day
