If I was intending to spend a huge amount on a car, I personally would want to do so with a reputable and established dealership. These may be legit guys but the fact that they aren’t an established company would ring alarm bells. Especially as it appears they have set up in a car park just to attain the prestigious “Park Lane” address.

So, I think we have all agreed that buying a car from a dealer with little history in a highly unusual location may not be a good idea.
I may do it anyway.
HPI checks look good apart from a couple of plate changes - not unusual I guess,
Main dealer service history checks out.
Only limited "filleted" accounts available, no obvious red flags, but not a lot of cash behind them.
So, "Proceed with caution" would seem to be the plan, but in practice, what does that mea?
How should I proceed to ensure I have the best possible chance of a positive transaction, and best protection if something is amiss.
IPay on credit card is frequently bandied about, but my credit limit doesn't quite cover this!

Don't send money as a deposit until you see the car in the person.
Check the VIN matches the Reg, and not been tampered with.
Physical service history receipts, books, MoT certificates might also suggest the car is not a ringer.
It might be worth turning up unannounced to see if they work out of the 'office' outside of pre-arranged appointments.
