Gentlemen, I’m going to try this hopefully it whips up some old stories from yesteryear.
I’m sure Coppice has a few stories, and other contributors.
Whenever I go to my place in Benalmadena, I always purchase a copy of Motorsport magazine at the airport to read on the flight.
I read this 10 years ago on a flight over, it really struck me.
I’d maybe walked passed Jonathan as he lived out his days in Benalmadena / Arroyo de la Miel. A sixties F1 driver. No less. And a Ferrari driver.
I’d never heard much about him, but some of the books I’ve read and the crowd he fitted into at the time . He was very close with Frank and Piers. You could imagine a coffee with Jonathan.
As always, a magnificent piece by Adam Cooper.
Well worth a read.

He wrote an excellent autobiography "Shooting Star on a Prancing Horse".
Many thanks for that Targa, really appreciated. I honestly had no idea there was a book in his name, gone are the days when Mill House Books used to post me a ‘flyer’ announcing recent releases.I’d love to read a bit more about Jonathan
That article in Motorsport magazine is one of the best I’ve read, with a glass of Red at hand - on my way to my holidays.
It’s a pity really, I’ve googled many more Motorsport articles which I had the same enjoyment - sadly hidden behind a paywall.
I’m watching a copy of ‘Shooting Star on a Prancing Horse’ on eBay now.
I’ve got to make some room on my bookshelf first!
