Their new album Black and White 050505 came out yesterday. Got it from Itunes.

10 plays so far and it
seems like a real return to form for ver minds.

New single Home is getting play on R2 in the afternoons.

Blinkin' flip! They were one of my all time favourites - saw them live three times. Never even knew they had reformed and got a new album out.

Just shows how out of touch music wise I have become...

I'll get it and give it a listen.

Hmmmm, I think a try-before-buying download might be in order. My album-knocked-out-to-pay-for-new-jet radar is working over time...

Is it the weather? Rolling Stone, Simple Minds, Paul MacCartney.....

they are on Johnathan Ross on the 23rd Sept singing the opening track on the album.

with regards to them being reformed...well they never really split up. They took some long breaks and produced a couple of pretty poor albums after Streetfightingyears.

Had this album a few days now and my only criticism is that its too short. Otherwise I love every track.

Simple Minds?i thought they had dried up decades ago, funnily enough ime listening to U2 who are more or less from the same era and feel IMO that their music just carries on through time without showing any sign of age.
