Warranty claim. TPMS
Discussion
Batteries will be running low in the TPMS sensors.
Not covered under warranty as they are a consumable, mine failed after 8 years but you can buy non OEM (same manufacturer though) sensors online for a fraction of what McLaren charge.
You just need to double check what frequency yours transmit at - UK cars are nearly all 433hz but some early car (like mine) were built with 315hz ones.

Thanks, had a sneaking suspicion they'd be life timed, hence not covered... Not covered under warranty as they are a consumable, mine failed after 8 years but you can buy non OEM (same manufacturer though) sensors online for a fraction of what McLaren charge.

Be careful with non genuine sensors
I bought some for my 12C and they would randomly alternate between one not reading properly. At first I thought I had a faulty one so order a new one and fit
But it would alternate between different wheels which would not provide reading
Thorney also warn again non genuine as they have similar issues
OEM ones are ridiculously priced

I use these sensors on a second set of wheels. No issues reading pressure or temperature when swapping between the wheels. Had to tell them they were going on a 600LT as I assume they need to program them in some way.

I think McLaren wanted £600-700 for OEM ones.

One of mine reports 5C hotter than all the others once they're warmed up.
They start the same and then the odd one out starts to diverge in temp reading.
I checked with the dealer on the warranty apparently anything up to 7 degrees difference is still in tolerance
7 degrees... that's some margin. They start the same and then the odd one out starts to diverge in temp reading.

Same. Right rear is 4-5 degrees up on the left in steady state driving. They start the same and then the odd one out starts to diverge in temp reading.

Its pretty straight forward to get the autel MX TPMS sensors and program them to be clones of the McLaren ones (or any other make for that matter) Autel TS408 is the unit you need. Very cost effective compared to the OEM sensors. Quite a good thread over in the Aston Martin area of pistonheads on this topic
