This is basically a cut/paste of the thread I started in Readers Cars, but it's here again for the Mustang owners section.

I'm in Sweden BTW. I was looking at a 2024 new brand new Mustang. But I found out the tax is 25000kr per year for the first 3 years ! So this 21 which is about to move down to a much more manageable 3800kr per year will do the job.

After having a bit of a break from performance/hobby motoring and sticking mostly to just A-B type cars, various life goals and aims changed and I found myself looking at something to use as a 'toy' again. I'd kept my old Mustang around for sunny summer days (a 1997 GT cab with only 40,000 miles on the clock. I don't want to part with it). But I seem to have somehow ended up with a newer version of the same thing wink
Today the Mrs and I went to look at a 2021 GT convertible. We're both suckers for black cars, black interiors, and this car has the triple black roof. Not too happy about the black wheels, but that's easy enough to fix. I went down to the dealers with the intention of having a look and going away to think about it. But a test drive and a good barter with the pleasant sales chap saw my wallet falling open and $$ flying out. Which makes me the soon-to-be happy owner of this 5.0 Coyote engined V8, 460hp lump of US goodness. It'll be mine in a couple of weeks when I have time to go back and pick it up. In the meantime it's having a small recall fix, some cabling to the bootlid patched up and a service.
Here's some quick snaps I took after the test drive.
