Dusk beds - anyone used them?
Discussion
All,
My wife has found a bed she likes on Dusk.com and I'm not sure what to think. I appreciate they are a web only company and don't have the overheads of a large company who have to pay for shops, sales people etc but they seem almost too cheap...
I love a bargain as much as the next person but less than £400 for a superking Ottoman bed is almost a grand cheaper than most of the other beds she likes and sounds almost too good to be true!
Has anyone used them before and if so are they any good or are they poor quality with a customer services department staffed by a full answer machine?
I'm usually a 'you get what you pay for' kind of guy but the savings are substantial....

Ordered the Ascot Ottoman bed in December, they used a cheap delivery company so was a bit of a shambles with the delivery date, had to shuffle my work from home days round a few times but hardly the end of the world.
Actual bed is decent quality, replaced an old Ikea wooden one. About an hour to put together but had not problems with it.
I would definitely buy one again, seems a bargain for £300.

Any updates on this from anyone?
We are about to order a new bed and mattress this evening before their Black Friday code expires.
My Sister in law has just bought some stuff from Dusk and seems happy but was only a month or so ago.
I don't trust review sites as you only write reviews if you're pissed off so I'm looking for real experiences please!

Have just built various Dusk items - kids bed, bedside tables and a few other things. Seems good in terms of quality, instructions weren't super clear but managed it fine and they are generally solid items now they are together.
One bit of feedback is that there is too much polystyrene and plastic in their packaging for my liking - IKEA do it much better on that front - but the product is sound.

Just a warning to anyone else coming to this thread...
Never use Dusk.
Totally f
king useless. Our bed still isn't here and we cannot contact anyone or get a response from social media or email. I can't find a phone number anywhere online.
Useless

Go somewhere else and spend a bit more money, you might actually get your furniture then.
Look at every post on their Facebook. Full of people exactly like me.

I'd agree with all of this. Had a few Dusk items since we've moved which are generally a little bit of a faff to put together with not-overly-clear instructions and significantly more packaging than is really required. But no isues per se. One bit of feedback is that there is too much polystyrene and plastic in their packaging for my liking - IKEA do it much better on that front - but the product is sound.
We ordered kitchen bar stools from Dusk back in late October/Early November.
A total shambles. Several delivery dates missed, which is very annoying when you make arrangements to be in the house for the delivery, total lack of comms. Turns out they never had the items in stock to begin with, and as far as i know they still don't.
Eventually managed to get a refund and bought a set from Debenhams.
Do yourself a favour and avoid Dusk
