I have a 6xCD changer fitted in the usual place in the boot. The problem is that the cd are starting to skip badly and it''s getting very annoying. It always happens when slowing down just before I start to brake - ie. lifting off the throttle to apply the brakes.
Is there any adjustment that I can make to the cd changer and how/where? or is it time for a new changer?
Just for info. I have 99t chim, new lights so the spare is mounted mid fuel tank, and cd autochanger above the tank. If you take the spare out the boot, & have the roof in the boot, the top of the roof will knock against the changer when you have fun with the 'go and stop' pedals. If you put the spare back in, it acts as 'roof spacer' and all audio is no jumpable :/
Never had this problem, but I did specifically buy a Pioneer changer with shock protection, knowing that the TVR ride is a little harsher than the norm. Not to mention prone to greater than average g forces!
The pillow trick sounds good - would come in handy when you're entertaining on the bonnet too. I wish!

quote:The spare in the boot will sort this problem. Also, leave the handbrake off and chock the wheels with 5 or 6 , 1' by 3' wooden battons, 8 inches apart. Just make sure you get the job done by the last batton or you end up touching the garage door & that just amplifies what you want to keep secret, & scuffs the imperial blue ( which is hard enough to keep clean )in the process!
