2024 Charity Open Day at A S Motorsport Ltd. April 28th
Discussion
Hello,
Once again the calendar has clicked around to Spring and the annual ASM open day is fast up and coming.
What started out as an excuse for a few Cobra guys to get together at my workshop is now a full on club / promotion meet and this will be the 17th year of ASM. How the time flies.
So for those who don't know already. ASM was formed to promote and manufacture the ASM R1 which is a detailed homage to the Aston Martin DBR cars that triumphed with the likes of Carroll Shelby and Sir Stirling Moss at Le Mans and beyond. 1959 was the year that Aston won Le Mans with the DBR1 and also the world Sportscar championship which was clinched at Goodwood.
Our version is somewhat more tuned for road enjoyment and our demo car will doubtless be circulating during the day.
Since before the start of ASM in 2007 we were holding a Spring workshop Day. This year will follow much the same theme with doors open around ten o'clock.
There will Chilli bowl and Barista Coffee refreshments with donations welcomed towards East Anglia Children's Hospice.
All are welcome especially with interesting machinery to join the display.
So maybe a date to make an excuse for Drive It Day or even just for St George.
Please circulate the word as the more that come the more we will raise for the charity.
If you plan a group arrival drop me a line to give an idea for catering and parking.
Date: April 28th.
Venue: A S Motorsport Ltd. Poplar Farm, Bressingham, Diss, Norfolk, IP22 2AP.
Tel: 01379688356
Mob. 07909531816
Email. Info@asmotorsport.co.uk
Please note entry is entirety at your own risk and any minors must be supervised at all times.
I look forward to seeing you there along with some nice sunny weather.
Andy.

I must say, that garage floor looks good Andrew !
I wonder who did that ??
I can't make this year as now living in Devon ( unless your mate with the helicopter wants to pick me up !! )
Hope everyone is well and perhaps next time I'll pop up. Give my regards to Brighty and Colin please.
Digger.

Well, given the poor weather and understatedly low numbers there must have been some very generous folk.
There was £360 raised in the coffee, cake and chili department.
Mind you, a bit of warm grub was needed to stand off the cold wind.
Thanks for those that made the journey.
