It would be good if we had total transparency in many areas of our lives today. That includes government, sports and many public services. Unfortunately that isn’t the case despite many people of profile calling for it.
There was a time when the media, particularly newspapers such as The News of the World, would investigate people and businesses and expose hypocrisy, corruption and scandals but that seems to have disappeared from mainstream media. On the internet various information appears today but nobody takes much notice.
In F1 various scandals have appeared in mainstream media such as with Toleman, Max Moseley and others regarding sexual scandals that would send the Christian Horner problem into the shadows.
I realise that we are now in 2024 and much behaviour of the past should be not seen as acceptable but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.
With wealth often comes an attitude of being above the morality or behaviour of others and I’m sure that despite some in the hierarchy of F1 have behaved in the past or in the present that many of us today would describe as unacceptable.
So those calling for “total transparency “ should be careful for what they wish for.

So it is your position that where an employee provides messages that indicate she has been sexually harassed by her boss, in a sport where we want to bring more woment in, and the "internal" process finds no issues (despite the messages we have seen that clearly suggest a serious harassment complaint along with a threat to her career/job if she refuses to be as "hands on" as she was before), then the women is suspended (whilst oddly the subject of the complaint was not at any time), that we should just accept that everything was above board?

I make up that the OP is issuing a public threat to Zak.

A shot across the bows, perhaps?

OP, you're Helmut Marko and/or Jos Verstappen AICMFP.

hehe

No, I’m not anyone involved in the present shenanigans but I was involved in F1 and it’s surroundings for some years and have seen the behaviour of some high profile characters still employed in the sport at times when they have relaxed. Sitting at a table with team members with lots of drinks you hear lots of stories about other F1 people and their indiscretions.

Oh well fair enough if other people do it then it must be ok, right?

The newer team bosses such as Zak and Toto are a lot more corporate than their predecessors, and have somewhat more ‘modern’ views of acceptable personal behaviour within the sport. Things that might have been swept under the carpet in the past, cannot be swept under the carpet today.

They are also likely aware of more details of the current scandals, than are currently public knowledge.

I can't help but feel he will be trying to weave LH into this thread as well at some point.

I suspect that both Zac and Toto know exactly what happened and know full well that "transparency" will show that Red Bull completely ignored the information that meant CH was more Horny than the name suggests and the PA was far more Hands On than any contract of employment would permit......

That then would suggest that they would show that RB lied, cheated and basically ignored that law to protect Horny and then suspended the PA. Whilst doing all of this claiming publicly that the processes were all above board and fair. So, pretty much lying through their teeth would be the implication from that, lying to the press and so on.

Which then means all hell would break loose.

TBF the same will happen in the event this goes to the ET, because following disclosure we will see what actually happened and.......
