Just noticed that the LH Manifold is cracked and blowing - probably the result of numerous tarmac scrapes!!

Might as well get a new pair, preferably tubular rather than the original cast iron ones - anyone know where best to get them and how much?

I have just had mine welded, but have done a lot of searching for these things.
David Gerald was the cheapest for the parts at £280 for the manifold, then you have to add gasgets etc.
The hardest job is removing the old manifold without breaking off the bolts in the head.
I sprayed mine in WD40 for 2 days before doing mine. The top bolts go through, but the harder to get to bolts are into a blind hole. (Note, if it breaks, the head has to come off!!! and you end up with a large bill)

Mines an S1 with the two-port manifold - already snapped the top bolt...so looks like its going to get expensive... unless there's an alternative way of drilling and tapping the new thread!

You could have the head off, drill the stud and have it heli coiled. Check out www.actproducts.co.uk for the manifolds.

Is that 280 for the pair?
