2017 F30 Idrive - glitchy text and menus until warmed up!

But of an odd one - my friend has bought a 2017 F30 and has a strange issue with the idrive. He bought it from another friend with the issue disclosed and never got to the bottom of it.



-It does it only on menu items
-CarPlay and reverse camera etc not impacted
-Once the car or idrive is warmed up it stops doing it , or perhaps it is just after a certain amount of time running.

The car has had a software update to try and resolve it which didn’t fix it.

Any suggestions? Can’t seem to find another example of it online.
