Build date, from VIN. Vin decode?

Anyone got a decode for e30 vin ?

I just bought an E30 323i baur, registered 85, but I suspect 84 build, so possibly exempt from the dreaded ULEZ next year, oh and free road tax, would mot it anyway, regardless of exemption.

I've only had newer BMWs but they have all shown the build date on the plate on the inner wing that has the paint code, etc.

Only mentioned this because free VIN decoders seem to have disappeared!

So it seems, I could not find one, will try the one posted above, I know it will be in the VIN, but coded into it, not an actual date, or have I got that wrong?

Put the VIN into RealOEM. That should give the production year & month.
