New Civic Type R 2023 maintenance advice that dealers don't

Has anyone any tips on maintaining this car for example is it worth getting oil change between 10,000 mile service intervals. Or any other useful advice. Car is sweet btw just put 1000 miles on it's since picked it up with 5 miles on it. And it's been great even in just comfort mode it's quick enough to give most cars a run for there money. Sporty Merc who decided to race me and had more power in comfort mode than he could muster. Not that I advice racing anyone on public rds!! And if 50 are reading it's just a story or dream I had!!!
It ultimately is on you and how you wish to look after your car and how long you wish to own the car for?
if you are going to get rid of the car within its warranty period then go with the service plan as specified.
If you plan to hold onto the car for longer and happy to keep your car in tip top condition then i would look at increasing number of service intervals. Do your research with regards to oil changes and turbo cars etc. Bear in mind this car uses 0w 20 oils etc. I have made decsion to change oil at least twice per annum. Currently doing over 10k per year on my FL5. As stated i have no plan to change the car anytime soon (within the next 3-5 yrs min) and could be a longer term keeper for me and therefore happy to pay the extra and invest in the longer term of car/engine health!

I don't think that that the Honda dealer will agree to do a oil change that is outside the schedule (ie do an imtermediate oil change). And if you do it outside the Honda network you may invalidate your warranty?
I have an Accord that is main dealer serviced, I was due to do a 2000-mile drive through highlands of Scotland just 2 months before the next service was due, and the dealer flat refused to bring the oil change forward 2 months.
Maybe ask your dealer what they think...

Service the brakes properly, preferably every year but at least every other year.
Not sure on official gearbox oil change intervals, but slipping a change in every 40k will do nothing but good.
Regarding in between engine oil servicing, why not slip a change in yourself in between normal servicing and keep the bills for when you wish to sell, dealer buyer won't be in the least interested but the switched on private buyer will be very interested in your car when you advertise it.
If planning keeping for a long time consider getting the vehicle rustproofed.
Not sure on official gearbox oil change intervals, but slipping a change in every 40k will do nothing but good.

you DO NOT invalidate warranty if you purchase and fit Honda OEM parts. My understanding was that was a ruling by EU etc many years ago
Oils and filters for this car will be purchased through Honda network. So there should be no invalidation of warranty in relation to consumable items and when it is possible to do as DIY.

I was more thinking that if you did an intermediate service (outside of the dealer network) it could affect the warranty as you have deviated from the manufactureres service schedule? Maybe I'm wrong though...
