I also like the look and the sound of the EX30 and we have ours. Unfortunately we are having a loads of issues. All intermittently which makes it really annoying as you cannot rely on the car. In the first month we have had the following:
Difficulty connecting to infotainment system
Fails to charge overnight on programmed charging, despite app and car showing the pre-set times
Blistered key fob - unable to start or lock the car
Intermittent proximity locking - not always able to unlock the car
Warning notice - failed driver aidsSat Nav search failure
Sat nav map rotating around the curser
Random dropping of all pre-set settings - driver preferences, overnight charging times
Clock shows random times
Phone is not linking to car - see it on screen but cannot use it to speak through car
Speakers not working

Anybody else had any of these issues?

On talking Volvo I was assured that within six months all of these issues would be resolved as they develop the car. Maybe early adopters should be paid a test fee!

I've had mine for about 2 months (twin motor performance Plus) and have had a number of 'niggles'.
My software is on ver 1.3.1 and an update to ver 1.4 has just been launched so will be available to the dealers very soon.

Have a look at the EX30 forum ( https://www.ex30forums.com/index.php?&sid=206e... )
And also the forums on FaceBook where you will find a lot of useful information.

Regarding your home charging - set the current limit to 'ON', set the slider to 32amp and leave it at that - it works!!

I'm enjoying mine and it drives rather well!!

A shame modern EV cars all seem to have buggy software.
Our MG is the same, The wife wanted one of these.

I had a look at one today, first time. A customer dropping his clock off for repair, spotted it at the end of my driveway.

Looked very nice on the outside, and he happily showed me around. The interior looked very cheap and cheerful, especially the weird recycled plastics. The lack of "bits and bobs" on the dash and doors was odd.

He was very happy with it, apart from the cruise control and the lane assist. He was fine with using voice control, which I found interesting given his age (late seventies). I'm OK with talking to Alexa in the house, but never tried it in a car.

Bottom line, I'd consider one for my next car (currently have a 2021 XC40 T5 plug-in), but only if they make the interior/dash a bit more conventional when they facelift it.

Ditto about being tempted. It is a bit on the small side, small inside, boot, etc. The range isn't great - up to 300 miles and there have been some software issues - as there are with several new Volvos.

I'm waiting for these to be ironed out before deciding but it is competitively priced for what it is. It has typical Volvo design features as well.

I thought these had the Google software? It's pretty glitch free in Polestars.

I’ve got the Smart #1 which is built by Geely on the same platform.Zero issues with it and a screen in front of the driver. I looked at the EX30 but it took the whole stripped out interior thing just too far for me.

Any recent update on owners view on these please? Tempted to lease one given some of the recent deals. 2nd car for the wife to drop kids off, don't need to cover large miles or distant so 300 odd mile range sufficient. Niggles resolved?

Considering the Plus, was going to go for standard range but seen a cracking offer for Twin Motor performance

Reading the forums suggests that most of the niggles are still unresolved, after several updates.
