Made a Trophy to be presented to a couple of Monster entries, who really put some effort in and had a cool attitude to the event. It wasn't based around their customers and was to decided on by the Monster Team ie Myself, TVRcarparts, Easytrack etc.

[b]The ACT [i]"Spirit of the Monster"[/i]Trophy 2005[/b] is a 6" tall Carbon trumpet from a Touring car, mounted on an Ally base. Currently being engraved, it is presented to Tim Hyde, who came down from Scotland and having gearbox troubles couldn't get out on track in his own car, but blagged several rides and still had a great time. he was also there for the beers afterwards and kept smiling throughout. Top Bloke!

The second presentation is also an ACT Item. This time it is in conjunction with Austec and Mark Adams and consists of a couple of hours tuning on Austecs R/Road with Mark, Paul & Tim with a 20% discount on any ACT item. A TOP "Gizit" for anyone who is considering or is in the early stages of tracking or modifying. After much deliberation, this was presented to Roge Tattershall (tallbloke) who got a came along (on a tight budget) camped on site (in the pit garage!) was on track all day, got progressively quicker, then came along to the hotel afterwards for beers etc. Also a TOP BLOKE who now has the Modifying/tracking Bug and has already sourced some second hand items to improve his car for his next Trackday! Superb!

A big Thanks to ACT (Tim) Austec (Paul) and not forgetting Mark Adams, who suported the Day fully with Time & Resources! All cool guys who really know their stuff and we were very lucky to have them aboard.

Not forgetting our other supporters who donated some "Gizits" to make the day a bit more special for the People who came along. Namely

What a great prize! At The Big Bad Wedge Fest, a similar prize went to a Chim owner!
I jokingley said to Mark Adams on that occasion, that he'd had a lucky escape because I would have had him setting up my planned turbo upgrade if I'd won the raffle....

I would feel like a total fraud if I didn't give the credit for the faster driving in my car to my good friend and co trackday novice Mr - V8 spanners - Scott.

However since his TVR won't be ready to drive to Surrey for ages, and he's quite capable of tuning it himself, I have no problem accepting this prize for my car on behalf of both of us.

I had a fantastic weekend at the TVR Monster Meet and can't wait for the next one. Congratulations to Andy and the rest of the people who made the event the most memorable TVR happening of the Summer, and many thanks for this award, I'll try to make it count out there next season.

I would just like to say what a great day the Snetterton Monster meet was and a big thanks to:

Rog (tall bloke) for letting me drive his wedge round the circuit - it was great fun drifting it in the corners and catching stuff up in the corners that had just flown past us on the straights

Andy Race for organising a top event

Mark Adams who is always a top bloke to speak to about my latest tuning adventure, it should be 'interesting' for him when tall bloke takes his car down especially if we've managed to slot that turbo on!


All the guy that ended up at thepub after the monster meet for making us feel welcome
