Hi all. I’m looking at a Cat S car and just wondered if Tesla still allow supercharging on written off cars? I hear rumours that they do and some that say they don’t.

Also what happens to the warranty? Is it automatically void?

Should I walk away? 2021 performance for £21k with 40k miles.

Not clear if it's repaired or you're buying in a damaged state?

Hello, ancient post excavated..
Does it still supercharge??
Curious if the insurance claim took a while to filter through to Tesla’s mainframe before your vin got blacklisted?
I want to fix an accident damaged too

IMO if you buy a written-off Tesla you’re better off expecting NOT to be able to Supercharge. If that works for your use case, then good luck!

Well I am assured by various eBay listers that their cars do still work on the network, I’m not sure if it’s a US-only policy thing or something but they seem to here in the UK, all sellers have so far happily agreed to test drive to a supercharger and confirm it..

I fix old British cars for fun in my spare time and the occasional time I travel over 300 miles worst case I’d have to use a ‘peasant charger’ so any kind of risk associated doesn’t phase me, still, be nice to hear the experience of others.

Currently building up the courage to press the button on something like this;
