I think it's just more getting reported. It's not a good week for United though, they had a wheel fall off a 777 yesterday.

Interesting notes from the blancolirio channel...specifically that the controller asked the United flight to "keep your speed up" as it was about to turn off the runway, which may turn out to be a cause for regret.

No….the landing gear is in a tripod configuration. Therefore it’s entirely possible for one of the main gear trucks to go off the tarmac whilst the nose wheel is still on it.
