Folding hard top intermittant fault

I have an E93 with a folding hard top. At the moment the windows go down but then nothing else happens. I've had it in to Sytners last year and they could find no fault and on collection it worked fine. A few weeks later back to not working and then shortly after everythings fine again. The battery is new and fully charged and the motors appear fine as I can hear them when the windows go down but something is just not operating. Any ideas?

If you go to the z4 Forum there a plethora of info about roof issues, I know yours isnt an E89 but I would guess the same issues arise in various models..I would hazard a guess at a Hall sensor or a micro switch as these are the usual suspects on E89s
