Hi, I have just bought a V2s Multistrada Ducati as my longer distance bike and for damp weather etc. (have GSXR for sunny days) I will still use the multi in the dry too.

Due to a nail in the rear std 90/10 tyre I have the opportunity to consider a change of tyres. I understand that the 90/10 is 90% road and 10% gravel. I will never venture off road.

The Ducati people say that the std tyre is also very good in the wet due to the tread…is this better than a normal road tyre?

I like to ride quickly and do lean about on the bike in the corners. At the moment. It feels very confident on wet roads, should I stick 90/10?

If I replace just the rear tyre should I stick to the matched front ?

Metzeler roadtech 01 or the new 02

Michelin road 6

Do front and rear.

I've got Michelin road 6 in my GS. I've used them for all my bikes (not the 6s clearly but the previous ones), but I'm not getting on with these ones about 3,000/4,000 miles in. Still got 3mm of tread on the front but grip appears to have all gone in the wet.

This is what I got recommended elsewhere, but it was a while ago so the recommendation was Roadtec 01 or Road 5.
I will try the Roadtec on the Zero, which is up for a change this spring, and the Michelin on the Kwak which I guess is due next season.

Thanks. The website says offer is only available at the Dunlop dealers listed.

Useful thread, I wasn't aware of the Roadtec 02 or the Roadsmart IV.

Pirelli Angel GT 2s all day everyday.

We fit so so many to Multistrada, from older 1200s to the new V2 & V4s. Never had a single complaint so far smile

Have a look at these:

https://www.fwr.co.uk/bridgestone-battlax-t32

I have run both my Hyperstradas and both my Multis on these or a variation of these depending on tyre generation but have used them all year round down to 0 degrees out, never had any grip issues, wet, dry or cold.

Cheers for that. I have just booked myself in for that deal. No front's available, but I can wait. I was considering the Road Pilot 6's to replace the Pirelli Rosso Corsa 3's as I ride on the road mostly and I found them pretty awful in the damp.

No problem, will the supply a front later?

Yes. I’m in no rush, so they are calling me when it is in.
