I'm more interested as to what happened to it.
I mean, no one's no-one is doing stair sets on Bromptons!
According to a quick Google; Brompton frames have a few weak spots known for cracking. Make of that as you will.I mean, no one's no-one is doing stair sets on Bromptons!
The frames have a 7 year warranty.

How much is he asking? £100 very max.
£250 to £300, says it has years of life left.It worries me that having failed once, how long before it breaks again and would you want to be riding it at the point it does.

What is it supposed to look like? The weld bead is ok-ish, but that bracket thing underneath looks a bit sketchy.
It really isn't... It looks like a diseased hamster has defecated molten steel all over the tube. That's been done by someone with zero welding experience who has borrowed a cheap MIG welder and had a go.
At least the 'taco' is not unusual... It's been used on a few MTBs in the past.
