Is the only difference the colour or am I missing something?
Purple is nice, but out of the 24 570GT's on Auto Trader these two are probably my bottom two picks in terms of colour!
But that just means I have a more common and basic taste
Hahah what colours do you like? I like load colours and thus leaning towards the red. The purple one does have more carbon on it though.Purple is nice, but out of the 24 570GT's on Auto Trader these two are probably my bottom two picks in terms of colour!

This blue is quite nice

Also this 'blade silver' but not a massive fan of the wheels or red interior

To me it looks like the purple car has the steel brakes, possibly because it's early 2018 and may just pre-date the introduction of ceramics. There's a case to be made for either type, however I think the ceramics do add some market value.
The red car still has a few months of the 5yr paint warranty left, the purple car is out.
Basically if they were the same price, I would say the red car is better value as it's approved used with warranty, still under paint warranty, and has the ceramic brakes. Or to put it another way, between the two the purple car isn't enough cheaper to adjust for the risk of buying privately.
In terms of colour schemes I like the purple as it's more special, I think I'm happy to leave the solid red to the Ferraris. But I don't dislike the red, that car has a coherent colour scheme with the black trim and smoked grey wheels.
For me, when I saw the right car in person I knew I wanted it
So I'd say go and have a look, probably when you find the right car you won't need to ask anyone else's opinion on the spec.

The red one states that 'Deposit Taken'.
The for sale stock of all McLarens seems to be diminishing daily. Lowest number of Macs for sale on PH for some time.
PH maybe, Autotrader not so - numbers advertised for March 2024, March 2023 and then March 2022:The for sale stock of all McLarens seems to be diminishing daily. Lowest number of Macs for sale on PH for some time.

- 540C - 11, 16, 11
- 570S coupe - 31, 30 33
- 570S spyder - 20, 32, 29
- 720S coupe - 37, 35, 34
There were over 30 600LT this time last year when I bought mine, currently about 11 available ( AT & PH) was down to single figures last week but a couple more have popped up, prices slightly down on last year <5% but many of the cars are low spec, dull colours etc,,

Apart from the 570s spider, thats a pretty even spread of numbers over the 3 years
Out of interest, do you have the 600lt numbers, i was arguing they seemed to be increasing in Autumn but i was very wrong.
Sadly not. They are slightly out of my price range, as is the 720S but you can dream for a lottery win Out of interest, do you have the 600lt numbers, i was arguing they seemed to be increasing in Autumn but i was very wrong.

Agree with that, much the same with 720s at the moment too.
They are priced so well, makes them more or less bargains, having done Ferrari, Porsche and now McLaren the latter for me is just better and so far I have nothing but good things to say about McLaren running cost and service.
