Afternoon all,

I'm looking into buying my fathers BMW 32i petrol touring (17 plate) but wanted to find out a bit more info on what it has and could of had as an option (normally a VAG man). From what he has said it has a sports trim but it defiantly isn't the M sport variant. Is there really any difference other than body kit? It has always sounded like it has a sports exhaust on it with twin pipe exiting from one side (again M sport looks like twin pipes from both sides). Was there a more basic model in the range like an SE?

It could be the luxury version

If you look here you can go through the specs: https://www.parkers.co.uk/bmw/3-series/touring-201...

Secondly look on Mdecoder & put the VIN in & that’ll give you more or less the full breakdown: https://www.mdecoder.com/

Ensure you’ve got any adblocker disabled for that page for it to work fully

Should have a red strip highlight across the dashboard, m sport had blue normally.

Should have cloth sports seats

17” wheel with a bit more cushioning than the m sport 18”s

Standard suspension rather than sports.

Won’t have the m sport front and rear.

I’ve got one in sport spec, had it 4 years, happy with it and more comfortable than the m sport.

If it’s the se, the easy way to spot the difference is does it have flat seats?

Have double checked, is a sport and defiantly not a M sport (320i sport). Its got leather sport seats (might of be an optional extra?). Pretty sure he has 18" wheels on it has he bough 17" alloys to put on winter types (doubt he would of got a set of 16" for it).

Will grab in the vin off him to get the full spech off the website, thanks.
