After a new build I’m not seeing any oil in the rockers on the near side on new yella Terra YT6305.
I’m seeing good oil pressure on a manual gauge in the pressure sender port 80 psi cold on 20w 50 just using the starter motor, and the oil pressure light on the pressure switch in the side of the housing goes out straight away. I have no leaks externally.
I pulled the rockers off and removed the restrictor and poked a pipe cleaner down the oil port, it wentall the way down to the bottom but when I pulled it out there was about 20mm of oil on the bottom but clean all the way up
Any ideas?

Not much oil gets up there anyway but i seem to remember the shafts were handed left/right on earlier engines so it mattered which way you fitted them.
Worth checking the holes on the underside of the pedestal line up with the holes in the heads too.
Ive tested the flow out of the head oil holes before on a 3.5 pre serp by removing the rocker shaft assemblies and disabling fuel/ignition before cranking the engine but i cant comment on if this is possible or safe on a serp.

I checked the orientation and they are correct, I just can’t see a reason for the oil not to go up the heads and into the rockersconfused

Head gaskets orientation maybe but doubtful.
Not sure if you have access to Facebook but the RV8 owners and enthusiast group is very active, someone who has used the YT set up may be able to advise.

Have a look at this picture of an inlet manifold gasket. Work out what is wrong with it and then consider the same thing may have happened to your head gasket.
