Corrosion

Noticed a couple of micro blisters on the nearside rear quarter panel of my VE. I removed the trim inside and found some serious grot at the base of the quarter panel. Anyone else had this issue? The other side is like new, clearly water has got in somewhere but I've no clue where from.

Not seen this before, like you say water in somewhere. Usual problem behind side skirts / rear bumper, inside boot trim was solid

Hate to say it, but that will probably not be the only place looking like that.

That amount of corrosion has to be unusual especially if the rest of the car is in good condition.
I can only assume water has been sloshing about there for a while and that could happen to any make of car really.
It looks like it might have to be cut out and a new piece welded in plus the paint of course.
Not a cheap job unfortunately but it needs sorting out.
