Hi,

My 335d diamond cut wheels could do with cleaning up.

There were curves when I got the car at 90k miles and at 140k they have lacquer flaking, are curbed and could do with cleaning up.

I've never had wheels painted, is it tricky to get diamond cut wheels done?

Any recommendations for somewhere in Nottingham?

Is £50 the going rate?

Thanks for any suggestions

Martin

£50 per wheel would just about get a decent powder coated finish on a set of 18 inch wheels plus VAT. Have a look online as the diamond cutting machines cost many £ks and hence a diamond cut finish is much more expensive but also less durable than a full powder coat/wet paint finish due to the nature of the finish. A diamond cut finish full refurbishment is probably more like £100 + VAT per wheel from a quick Google search.

Most refurb companies will powder coat, make sure they strip and prep them properly, cheap will often flake off.

Paint is expensive to do.
