A friend of mine has a 3 year old Bentley Continental and has been quoted £4500 for a two year extension to the warranty. Is this a sensible “investment”? Are these cars known for issues at 4 and 5 years old? Many thanks.

Work out the hourly rate at a Bentley garage and take it from there,Obviously its a gamble either way.

Seems cheap for 2 x years tbh, 2250 per year i’d be taking them up on it, there’s some pretty poor seals that can lead to water leaks on the latest conti and they’re very time consuming to get fixed, also if not treated what else could the water damage? If you had to leave it at the airport parking for instance during.. think that was the cabriolet though.

I'd take it but maybe go for three years and negotiate a better discount? Also remember that the factory warranty is transferrable so much easier to sell on.

It's just insurance.
