Blue Collar supercar
Discussion
Road & Track magazine (October) has 9 pages on the Z06 which include driving extensively in Europe with visits to Spa and Nurburgring. Overall they found its straight-line performance close to the Viper with the Vette being more usable overall. Handling/ride not quite a match for high priced exotics like Ferrari 430 or Ford GT.
"Z06 dispatches the quarter mile in 12.3 seconds at 116.6 mph. The Z06s real strength lies not only in pounds-per-horsepower but performance-per-dollar .... undercuts a Viper by at least $16,000 and is less than half the Ford GTs price of admission .... even avoids the gas-guzzler tax. It's truly the Blue Collar supercar".
Worth a read if you can find a copy of R&T.
