Steering column indicator disc and turn to lock
Discussion
I cleared an important question today because I needed to know where the "open wondow" should point to from the indicator cancellation disc on the column. This should point north when the wheels are standing straight.
We did get the column out of the car because something was rubbing. When we did put it back we did not really remember in which position the steering boss was. So, we searched for a position by carefully turning left and turning right. The way it is now we can turn it 3 times to the left and also 3 times to the right. Counting from neutral position. When we felt that we were reaching the end of the ribbon cable we stopped. This should be oke without opening the column to get to the ribbon cable?
Another question is .... how many complete turn to the left (and to the right) does the cerbera have?

As long as the buttons on the steering wheel still work you should be fine, for now now at least.
Getting the wheel off & checking how well the ribbon cable is stuck down would be a good idea. The problems I’ve ever had with it have been because it’s come loose then snapped or worn through.
The procedure for resetting it was on the Cerbera site but it seems to be down at the moment. If you do a search you will probably find it on here somewhere. Just about everything has been asked on here over the years…

setup mode fro the cancellation.
You press the two left hand buttons on the steering wheel and the right top button, all at the same time.
Both indicators should appear constantly.
if you then move the steering wheel past the indicator cancel on either side the corresponding light should go out.
This is used for resetting the indicator cancel sensors. To exit the set-up mode turn off the ignition
