Hopefully someone can help me out. We have a 2009 120D and the driving lamp bulb has gone for the lamp inside of one of the round light rings which I think I have managed to work out are called Angel Eyes?

Assuming the bulb would just be an H4 or 7 or something generic, I removed the connector to be faced with a bulb I have simply never seen before. So I hopped onto the internet to quickly find out what it is called so I can order a replacement but I'm struggling to wade though the mountain of content that is about uprating lights and bulbs on these old cars and after a few days I've had no joy in finding a post that will simply tell me what it is that was fitted by the factory to these cars.

Can anyone put me out of my misery? And can anyone tell me if there is a more traditional bulb that can be used for both front lamps in their place? The bulb that is in there is a long stick like affair. Thanks.

Halfords is usually good to check bulb compatibility:

https://www.halfords.com/motoring/bulbs/

Also found the following website allows you to select “standard” bulb:
