Reputable sources for spare parts

Hello all..........

I have a 640D ( F06 ) which had an altercation with a Pheasant a couple of weeks ago.......upshot is a have a broken front grille ( lower centre grille SE version rather than Sport). I'm looking at options re. where to buy the replacement having identified the part number using https://www.realoem.com/bmw/

I've seen this supplier https://www.bmw-spare-parts.co.uk/ and was wondering if any other Pistonheaders have had any experience with them?

Alternatively, have the forum members got any other, preferably UK based, suppliers they have experience of and would recommend??

If you want genuine, new parts, Martin Seggie at Parks BMW Hamilton is the person I use. Always the best pricing and great service.

It's just another of those websites where they buy up a nice, genuine sounding domain, load up the whole ETK to get search engine clicks, and sell at dealer prices +/-. This one is apparently Italian, which makes a change from Lithuania/Latvia, but same conclusion.
You might get a better deal with your local dealer, especially if factoring in shipping.
That said, nothing wrong with such websites if they allow eg paypal and come out cheaper.
Assuming yours is 51117304057, there isn't masses of choice

Thanks 4004, yes that is the correct part number.........haven't spoken with my local dealer yet; not at all impressed by the last couple of visits to them. Not much they can get wrong with supplying a genuine part though.

Try the part number on eBay as some BMW dealers sell on there also; more so with discounts and eBay can have a % off further on top as well... Douglal Park, Colne BMW and Park Lane BMW are a few that spring to mind...

IMO & IME, avoid the likes of LLL Parts and any other Eastern European BMW parts resellers

You could get 10% (EDIT: it may have been 15%?) off at Sytner Leicester BMW with a Mat Armstrong code (EDIT: MAT15). I'm not sure if that's still the case but it's probably worth asking them?

recently tried myself, Cotswold were afew quid cheaper for bits I wanted. Just email them all and see who gives you the best price...
