The (leather) seats in one of Mrs D's cars have been somewhat cracked and on their last legs for some time, and at the weekend I noticed they have finally let go. It looks like Freddie Krueger has been having a go at them, that's how much they've fallen apart.

As she has been pondering fitting seat heaters to same, I think it would be a good idea to just get the seats refurbished and retrimmed, good as new, with heater pads fitted at the same time. Can't imagine it will be cheap, but she loves the car so will get use of them. Whilst the original seats are leather, I think she might prefer something else given the choice, so doesn't necessarily need to be a leather specialist.

Does anyone have any recommendations for trimmers within our counties? Preferably that have done work for you that you are particularly happy with.

The only one I've used is A & R Pound, Baldock BUT not sure if they are still trading or not due to the huge fire on the Baldock industrial site where they were based late last year.

I was planning on going to A&R Pound for a seat refurb but then that fire happened. The site is still a burned out shell.

OP, this thread is a bit old but may help:

Thanks both!

Shame about A & R Pound, a lot of decent smaller businesses got destroyed that day.

Was going to say Dave the trimmer. I'm always drooling over his Instagram, he does some very cool stuff to some very cool cars.

I used a guy based in Leighton Buzzard to fit my soft top. He claimed to be well familiar and had done loads before.
Suffice to say I would never recommend him nor use again. Looks like I will have to have it redone at some stage but that will probably entail a new fabric top.
