Hi all,

there is a Great European TVR Meeting planned on the Nuerburgring and what could be a better setting for such an event than the Oldtimer Grand Prix.
Please see the attached flyers for more information.

Yves, the main organiser is already in contact with several owners of special cars for the exhibition but of course we would be more than happy to have as many TVRs there as possible.

Best regards
Michael

Devastated that I can't make it, I'm already committed to the Edinburgh Festival with family and friends for that weekend

Perhaps another year

I would like to see the full agenda for this event, including how it fits in with the Old Timer GP. That would help with planning travel and booking accommodation.

Eur 900 for the Friday track day is too expensive for me, but an hour to have a couple of laps on Saturday morning for EUR 90 would be good if it's closed the general public.

I would like to visit Klaus' car collection and meet him too.

The other decision for me would be whether to just do a road trip in the Tuscan, or trailer the Grantura over to Germany and then pootle round in that (subject to getting it up and running in time).

I have booked some accommodation for this (Thursday - Monday). 4km from the circuit, but €300 for 4 nights for an apartment.

I am also very templed by the Spa track day on Wednesday 7th Aug before it too...

Would be good to get a decent representation of UK TVR folks there!!

Thanks for continuing to share the details Michael.

There are some issues to be clarified that's why the reg forms are not on the German website yet. As soon as this is solved I'll let you know.
Obviously I was a bit quick with that... rolleyes

It would be good to know how to book the sessions on the track and also what day people will be visiting Klaus’ place?

Thanks Michael for keeping us updated.

Good Morning,

No, I didn't know the distances involved to visit Klaus. It was something that was mentioned in the promotional material and is of interest to me (as a Grantura owner), so it is why I was asking the questions smile

Even with the distance involved, I still think it would be fascinating to do if possible - I just need to plan my trip accordingly.

Best regards
Andy

Ah, I hadn't seen that the option had been given. Claus lives in Memmingen. That's quite a distance from the Ring.

In any case, you should come with the Grantura. I'm also coming to the Ring with my Mark 2A.

Some more information / promotion from the organizer:

After the registration documents are ready for retrieval, we receive registrations for our major event every day. We are thrilled by the many international commitments from TVR Car Clubs from Belgium, France, Great Britain (Black Thunder & TVR CC), Holland, Italy, New Zealand, North America, Northern Ireland, Austria, Sweden and Switzerland.

Not only are many road vehicles registering, semi-race cars are also registering and will be taking on the Nordschleife with great enthusiasm.

Various European TVR racing teams will also be at the start.

Even for the prototype vehicles, there are already numerous registrations, so this event will be a unique and special event that no one should miss.

On our website tvrcarclub.de you will find a lot of information about this gigantic TVR meeting.

If you have any questions and/or suggestions about this mega event, please contact:

Is there a cut off date for signing up for the weekend and getting OGP tickets? I'd love to go but am juggling a few things.

No, I don't think so. I guess it's just a question of available accomodation.
