Anyone used it on a BMW? I've had the classic for VAG for years and it's been very useful at times.

Anyone have any experience of using it on BMW?

Doesn't seem to offer the Pro or Ultimate plans for BMW (VAG group only), so looks like you'll have to pay £50 for their dongle and buy/use credits for each and every item you want to configure.

Depending on your car model (Fxx or Gxx) you might as well just use buy your own dongle (Veepeak OBDCheck BLE seem to be the cheapest bluetooth dongles at about £30) and use the full version of Bimmercode (about £30 when I bought it in 2021).

However, if you already have a dongle you should be able to just plug it into the BMW to see if it works with the OBDElevel or Bimmercode apps.

Agree with what mmm-five says; get the relevant Vgate dongle off Amazon (c£24) and Bimmercode/Bimmerlink via App Store/Google play and you've got decent coverage then for code reading, live data and coding to the car

Or for simple plug n play, some live data & the ability to register a battery to your BMW - the Creator C410 via Amazon for £60

+1 for Bimmerlink (diag + battery registration) and Bimmercode (coding). Buy it once. Done.

OBD11 was never as good as VCDS, and when they went down the whole tokens and stupid pricing plans road, baaaah, no thanks.

ISTA + is what you want if you're more used to VAG-COM/VCDS, but quite honestly, BL & BC cover 90% of most peoples' needs.
