Hi Just thought i would tell everyone what the theifing to**ers are doing now,a friend of mine went on his hols to come back to find his 360sc and gallardo had been nicked, they did this easy by breaking into the house and picking up the keys.and my girlfriends neighbour had a new WRX subaru taken the same way while he was watching tele.hide your keys guys/girls because theres always some git who wants your car more than you!!.
WRX was dumped after a armed robbery week later and the lambo was left on side of road with clutch burnt out but the 360SC is prob on ebay as we speak.

thing is the lambo and rarri both had trackers and the rarri tracker was not responding after 4-8 hours of being taken.

He should have had better security around the house inside and out + for the cars - sec gate, cameras, anti ram posts, etc

I have a Rhino anti-ram post infront of my Tuscan only cost around 270 ish and keys for it are hidden and seperate from car keys, unless its unlocked & down in its hole the Tuscan is not going anywhere..

Maybe they have some type of scrambler? if you can get mobile phone jammers (which you can) im sure you can get something similar to jam the up/download link to the tracker?

PHer Slider is my local copper, his advice was 'get a dog' as a dog is a fantastic alarm system.

Or even how about, and here's a novel idea, the police actually catch some of these scrotes and the CPS prosecute them?

Sorry to say but every year when I renew my subscription with the tracking company and they check the system, it never works.

They've had to send someone out every time so far.

In fact now you've reminded me I might just get it checked......

An S4 I was using went this way and the bobby said "in the future take the keys to bed with you"

If they want the car they can have it! I don't want some drug fuelled piece of scum waking me and my family up in the middle of the night by which ever violent method he choose's!!!!

I recomend people take out shortfall insurance rather than have a tracker as everytime a customer of mine has had there car nicked the tracker system has been found in a lock-up somewhere minus the car! or with the car but in many pieces!!

Think a shotgun in your mouth might persuade you to point the perp in the right direction.

Put your keys away from the front door (ie not accessable by a wire coathanger through your letterbox) but in view from within the house. At the end of the day if somebody is in your kitchen looking for your keys they probably won't have any problem waking you up with a kitchen knife if they can't find them.

I don't care how tough you are, somebody waking you up has the ultimate upper hand.

ADT do a system which has various panic buttons (one down each side of the bed etc) which send a silent alarm to the police (via the call centre) - very good IMO.

This is why your best tripping the fuel cutoff switch.

Can't see a shotgun wielding freak coming back to your bedroom every 5 mins saying it won't start, can you come and help please!

Worst I heard was my mums friend got home (was an RS4 or RS6) and pulled into the barn/garage to find 4 men with baseball bats approach him and ask him to pass the keys and walk away!

Can't do much then.

But hey, what is insurance for. To save you the hassle of worrying about this kinda thing.

Just a shame Plod and CPS don't come down harder on these types. Removing a finger a hand per car robbery would soon slow em down

The problem for the police is that there are so many stolen 'pool cars' arround that it is hard to get the scum who nicked it! most will be charged with is driving a stolen car as they change hands so often in the criminal underground...the police may stop two black thieves driving but reports say it was taken by three white shites there is nothing they can do me tinks

When they point the gun and demand the key's you would have to say the keys are in the 2nd drawer in the kitchen and you best take my AA membership card which is in the wallet on the side there!!

I remember seeing a documentary in the nineties about some scrote whose method of stealing cars was to use a fishing rod through the letter box. It's amazing the number of people who left their car keys visible on a hook or a table in the hallway.

I think they just know the usual installation locations and they rip out the glovebox whilst the car is driving.

Best tracker/immobilisers seem to be those ones that you can call from any phone and turn the car off. You get the scrotes away from you and get to deny them the satisfaction of nicking your P&J
